Coastal News Insights

Editorial policy

Coastal News Insights aims to make coastal subjects clear without making them sound simpler than they are. We check factual claims, separate explanation from opinion and correct errors openly.

Accuracy and context

We review names, definitions and factual statements before publication, and use reliable material suited to the claim being made. We give readers enough context to understand what a point does and does not establish. Where information is uncertain or subject to change, we say so rather than presenting it as settled.

Independence

Editorial decisions remain separate from commercial relationships. A partner does not receive control over coverage, conclusions or corrections. We do not imply that a product, service or organisation has been independently assessed when it has not.

Corrections

If you spot a factual error, contact us with the article title and a clear explanation of the issue. We review correction requests and, when a change is warranted, amend the article and identify the correction in its context.

Partnerships and illustrations

Paid, supplied or otherwise partner-supported material is clearly identified where it appears. Partner material is not presented as independent editorial work. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; where relevant, they are labelled and are not offered as documentary photographs.
